Time for a laugh

It struck me the other day that having said how wonderful I think Andre Rieu’s attitude to music is, I should really give a plug to two very funny musicians; Igudesman and Joo. Well, I think they’re funny. I’ve always loved comic music. I have a few old DVDs of Victor Borge that I play a lot. I went to two of his concerts when I was younger and my ribs ached for days afterwards. These two make me laugh in much the same way.

I can’t remember how we stumbled upon them. I’ve only ever seen them on Youtube. No, that’s not entirely true. I’ve seen Richard Joo playing very serious classical piano on various TV programmes, including playing classical pieces by Billy Joel, but as a comic duo I’ve seen them nowhere else. I think the fact that I’d seen Joo playing so seriously made the comedy that much funnier.

The whole family was in stitches the first time I played a video. It’s madness, pure and simple. Sit back and enjoy...I hope it’s not just me that finds them so amusing (I am told I have a very quirky sense of humour).

Sorry I can't add the actual video. I can't seem to make it work - so here's the link -

Glad you liked it, Brenda. The resounding silence after I posted it was beginning to worry me.
